MISSION STATEMENT

The curriculum at SANVEE aims to develop critical and creative thinking, as well as self-discipline. We encourage our students to find their own strengths and preferred methods of learning within a structured and supportive framework. Small classes of around 15 enable teachers to give the attention each student needs. In addition, the tutorial system at SANVEE ensures that each pupil’s progress is continuously monitored, in terms of effort and achievement, with regular communication between tutor, pupil and parent.

Vision

The core objective of SANVEE HIGH is raising children to become individuals who achieve their balance in life through education by develop them as leaders of character and competence. In more specific terms the intent is to:

Prepare students morally, intellectually and physically for their role as leaders in life.

Imbue students with the paramilitary Values of respect, loyalty, selflessness, physical courage, moral courage and integrity.

Provide an intellectual foundation which will act as a basis for further education and which will generate an awareness and appreciation of the economic, political, historical, social and cultural aspects of the society in which they function.

Cultivate a capacity for critical thinking as a decision-maker and problem-solver.

Mission

The mission of SANVEE HIGH is to ensure that every student develops the expertise and information to pursue an industrious and rewarding life, contribute considerately in a democracy, and be successful in a diverse and evolving global society through providing a qualitatively diverse educational setting that nurtures a passion for cerebral curiosity, encourages risk taking, independence and innovation, and is committed to a tradition of academic excellence and social responsibility providing the child with rich learning opportunities by creating a model that gives the child room to both discover his element and engage in a constructive and progressive self-discovery process.

We recognize that technology is at the core of virtually every aspect of our daily lives and work, and we must leverage it to provide engaging and powerful learning experiences and content, as well as resources and assessments that measure student achievement in more complete, authentic, and meaningful ways.
